Suggestion: Limit vendor spam

The vendor classifieds are a mess. There is so much spam and uselessness that its difficult to sort through the mess. Some vendors spam 15-20 different threads in one section.

My suggestion is to limit vendors to 2 or 3 threads per section (like ls1tech) so the section is more usable to site members, easier to navigate, and not zergspammy. They can list their offerings in the same thread instead of 20 different ones. How simple.

Its one of the benefits of being a gold sponsor, you get to list as much as you want. There are different levels of sponsorship..... Corvette forum limits you to having two threads on the first page at any one given time

I agree with you that it gets to be silly when one person has 20 threads all saying the same thing but using a different part in each thread... But that is how this site separates the levels.. each site has their own rules, ls1tech is a poor example of a good site but in the case of advertising they don't have a bad idea.. although the Vette forum way seems to be better.....

I see. Its just frustrating when i try to find something i remember seeing and there are 400 spam threads. The tiered ad levels makes sense for business, but it sucks for the customer if it just propogates spam

Yeah those sections are out of control. 3-4 on the first page of each section would be plenty. I doubt anyone even pays attention to the vendors with 20 threads bumped to the top.
