I thought it was a $5 a month fee for using it, didn't know it broke down to per swipe

Paypal is awesome. I have a business account with them for my DJ business so I can accept credit cards through them. I have a Paypal mastercard debit card AND a credit line through Paypal called Smart connect, so I can use my debit card as a credit card, if there is no balance in my Paypal account.

Yes you can but what I use is the fake credit card / debit card they have to spend your balance. And since its neither, you can chose credit and earn cash back on everything. Like having a CC but its real money, no debt.

Bank of America bought my mortgage. No biggie I thought Then I get a late fee from B of A of $55 - when I had been using auto pay since I signed up for the mortgage....they mishandled the funds....hell I did not even know they had bought my mortgage! I have called them for over a year trying to get this resolved...they keep telling me I owe them money. I Hate them.

If you get the Paypal smart connect, and set it got "back up funding" then you can use the debit card just like a credit card. They give you a line of credit, but not an actual card so the two link together. First it will take whatever money you have in your actual paypal balance. If you have nothing, then it takes out of the paypal smart connect credit line

Any bank - even a CU - has a cutoff time for daily business. For some, its 2pm; others? EOB.

There is also the consideration of making a deposit at an ATM - is the ATM ATTACHED to the bank, or a separate entity, even if on the same grounds? In these cases, it is often serviced by a 3rd party, making the "posting" take effect even that much later.

Your primary error was that you made your deposit in an ATM after EOB. That means whatever you do - EXCEPT for withdrawals - won't be credited until the NEXT business day.

Another point to consider: Some banks post DEBITS prior to posting CREDITS - even if they came in on the SAME day! Why? Because a successful business is only successful by making money. And they make money by taking yours.

Am I siding with BOA? Not hardly because yes, they are a sucky bank. But you also have a certain obligation to yourself in demonstrating accountability for knowing your bank's specific policies. You may think a typical day ends at midnight but in the business world, that's not the case.

You mean nothing to them, but they mean everything to you (since they are in control of your money.) The sooner you accept this, the sooner you will prevent thinks like this from happening again.

Rule #1 for entering ANY business transaction: KNOW everything about who you are going into business with.

Translation? Personal accountability.
