Uh. I kinda disagree. Only in that I actually DO doubt the roles wil reverse much. Maybe once more but if so they will be in Z06 pricing.

I'm not gonna argue the point but GT500 might be exhausted after this one.

Aww come on, don't be upset. I am sure the 2012 ZL1 will be much faster than the 2012 GT500, I am willing to bet both my cars on it. The GT500 never had any competition in this segment until.. the GT and Boss 302 was released and came pretty close to the stock GT500. In my opinion, the 2012 GT500 is not looking anywhere... It still currently has no competition and still won't until spring 2012. By then, the 2013 GT500/SVT Cobra will surely be out.. and I highly doubt, especially since SVT ran the mule along side Chevrolet in Germany... that Ford intends to make the car slower than the 2012. The next round will put the 2012 ZL1 against the 2013 SVT Mustang because the last 6 rounds.... nobody showed up :(

you don't get it.... you take every opportunity to repost the same thing over and over... You aren't trying to collaborate... you simply post here to make sure we don't forget the mustang's venerable and storied past.

No one here disputes that the Mustangs reign is legendary.... We are just sick of you reminding us about it in every post you make...

I've got nothing against the mustang... Why do you think we are so damn excited about the ZL1??? When you beat the undisputed Champ... at his game... It's pretty F'n cool to experience that.

So why don't you just let us enjoy it. Tip your hat and at least try to post without mentioning what the Mustang has done, is doing or will do every time you touch the keyboard.

Sound reasonable?

It sounds absolutely reasonable, I completely agree that the 2012 ZL1 will in fact destroy the 2012 GT500. There is no way that isn't going to happen... Chevrolet had 2 years to benchmark their car from the 2011 and 2012 Mustang.

I would hoped that any word I post is listened to by both Chevrolet and Ford (because they are listening). This is the nature of competition, some people can handle it... some people can't. I posted a long, long time ago that they were benching off the wrong car and everyone laughed... Besides, I think SVT has their sites set on something bigger other than a rookie... Why move backwards? If you think info on the GT500 is bad now, wait until 2014...

Of course I am sure you can kick people off the site for posting information on a single thread about the tread topic, but I am sure that this site isn't like that...

I appreciate the ZL1, I really do.. However, I am currently unable to express my appreciation for the ZL1 on the ZL1 forum because I was banned for foretelling the next GT500 and talking about how the ZL1 could possibly weigh 4152lbs (4199lbs to be exact). I have posted my hand built rendition of my LS7 Z28 on the imaginary Z28 forum. I brought the first LS5.5R engine photos online and to this site... and before I enlisted, I ran a 3rd Gen and a 4th Gen 350 Camaro in a regional SCCA division in 1998-1999.

Just lock the thread and nobody will talk about the new engine... easy as that.

If the thread remains open then lets get back on topic.

Don't take this the wrong way, but who is the "we" of which you speak? Are you speaking for the moderating staff or the members of the site as a whole? If the latter, I have to state that as, one of it's longtime members, I have no issue with thePill's posts. I appreciate the viewpoint he brings to the site and do not feel he is bashing the Camaro in any way. Of course, I have been accused in the past of not being on this site for "the right reason", too, so take my opinion for what you will. Thanks man and I really do mean that. Although I love when people support the troops.. I just would really rather talk about new engines instead of complaining or defending a certain member. Hopefully, we can get someone elses inside info. I know there are knowledgeable people on this site, I would really like to get something out of them.

You Ma'am, have a voice, and you do sway our decisions regarding how this site is moderated.

However, if you could see the VAST majority of reported posts. You'd realized that you are in the minority in this one case.

if the mods wanted nothing to do with mustang owners we'd delete or close all the threads and Ban anyone with a mustang in their user profile.

We don't do that.

Thepill, you were banned from that section for failure to follow the rules.

And the site owner issued that, not the moderators. That should tell you something.

I know what I was banned for, I was banned because I warned the community of a up and coming SVT Mustang that was being bred for a single purpose, to beat the then named Z28 now ZL1. My weight calculations for this ZL1 was at the time 4152lbs and was met with ridicule from moderators and members. I have spent almost the entire day talking about reconfiguration of the rear axle area with larger wheel wells/traction devices, Ford's new high strength casting for the Boss opposed to running the CNC program on the existing coyote head and integration of TiVCT on Condor based engines vs. cost. I apologize if I seem uneasy...

Your future here is entirely in your hands... If I had an agenda I'd have already pursued it.

You're still here and have been given more chances than just about any other member. I'd say we are being more than fair in trying to help you stick around.

I think what really needs to be said here is that I can go down the street and buy a GT500 right now ... I can't do that with the ZL1 .. so that being said, GT500 is still the king....

Hell we really don't know how the ZL1 will perform in the real world .. it is possible that the current GT500 will still be the king once the ZL1 is out .... I sort of doubt it but until then ... GT500 is tops ..
