You're also told to be aware of what's behind the person you're about to shoot. What if she missed? Or what if the bullet travels through the perp's body, has some kind of weird exit trajectory and strikes the kid in the stroller?

Oh I'm all for dropping the guy, but I wonder how close the kid was to this scumbag when she opened fire? It also doesn't mention what she shot him with. I know me personally I'm not that great of a shot with a pistol, so I'd be worried about hitting the kid. Glad it ended the way it did, but could have been much more tragic had she missed...
