I sure hope so, I think more and more people are realizing however, that if you are serious about going fast, you'll be in an American car

The question about the white Porsche still stands lol

It's funny when people get upset because F&F isn't realistic enough LOL. I got really mad at The Curious Case of Benjamin Button for the same reason.

I'll wait for it to hit the dollar movies.

Which means nothing about the quality of the movie. Only a number representative of how many people were blindsided by enough shiny explosions and hype to go see it.

Nitromethane is a fuel that is used mostly in specialized drag racing classes, "nitro funny cars" and "top fuel". 14.6 kg of air is required to burn one kilogram of gasoline, but only 1.7 kg of air for one kilogram of nitromethane. Since an engine’s cylinder can only contain a limited amount of air on each stroke, 8.7 times more nitromethane than gasoline can be burned in one stroke. Nitromethane, however, has a lower energy density: Gasoline provides about 42–44 MJ/kg whereas nitromethane provides only 11.3 MJ/kg. nitromethane generates about 2.3 times the power of gasoline when combined with a given amount of oxygen.

Doesn't it burn hotter, however, making it very hard on the engine internals?

most likely, which is why funny car/top fuel rebuild the engine after every run

i remember seeing something a while back saying that nitromethane wont burn if you put a flame to it but its more like diesel where it ignites from the compression. the spark plugs are there just to make it hot and more readily combustible. but that was a while ago and my memory sucks, i could be wrong.
