That car was such a POS. I went with this girl and told her just about everything that was wrong with that car and she still bought it. I could even turn the ignition in that thing without the key.

I'm sure we have a couple handfuls of people that can hit 9s, but I would say there are fewer that can do it consistently. I'd love to see some of the big HP cars run next year.

there was some guy at a cruise in a few weeks ago with a mid 80's IROC with a big ol sign next to his car "bragging" on all his specs.... 190hp..... at the flywheel

Mine's putting out about 215-220 at the flywheel and about 270tq..... and it gets 33mpg too

. Pretty light too.... if I could get posi and ditch the 3.23's.... I could take on a LLT and be close

Haha. Christine was fine when she first bought her, just started falling apart recently.

Jannettys has three 9 second 5th gens, BigDawg ran 9.80's, hopefully they all go the fest.

I need to get some seat time, but I'd like to get my trans issues straightened out first. There's definitely something wrong. When I got WOT I feel it slip and sometimes it doesn't want to shift out of 3rd.

Sad to think that those under powered cars were once the hottest thing out there and a sub 16 second quarter was fast. The L36 for the time period was a real strong V6. The whole family of engines always took well to modification especially when boosted. My sister had a 97 GTP, that thing was a sleeper.

either you ate up the pump/pump bushings or the clutch plates = fried.

time for a rebuild with better materials and bump up line pressures.

Nice!! I just want mid 10s and I'm not far from it. With a decent 60' I should be hitting the 10.9 range.
