I'm a Camaro guy and could have bought a Vette over a Camaro but as you see in my Sig I had to have a sibling.
welcome to the world of corvette. Gob's of HP and the tuning of how the car rides is phenominal IMO for you I think you did this right choice. Besides the ZR1 you are in The mother of all Gm cars. Get in sit down mash the pedal and carve the roads likes a cookie cutter. You want to feel just what you purchased ? find a nice set of winding roads lock the pedal around 70 and cruise. Corvette is a brand that doesnt Cut short on to many things. AWSOME Purchase and Happy Birthday dont let the envy take your happiness out of this purchase. |

Nice. You have the badass LS7, bolt on that SC you have from the SS and you're set. The shop I deal with just forged a Z06 that had a crappy Vortech blower and it did 740rwlb/tq. And, that's just scratching the surface. With a real blower like a ProCharger I'd estimate the Z06 would do 900+rwhp.
I"ve driven Corvettes a number of times and there's few vehicles tha perform at that level. Enjoy, and congratulations. Now lets' see who's going to swap the SS for a Viper. LOL |

Nice! Congrats on the step up. How long till you have it over at Bob's strapping a blower on it?
I know I was telling you how I was going to trade up to the ZL1 depending on the it's price. It's starting to look like the car is going to be more out of my price range. I'm now starting to lean towards the Z06. Very similar to what you did, black, probably an 08-09. I'm a fan of the black on black so I'd probably have to do the same with the Z06 Last edited by MikeJrSS; 10-15-2011 at 05:58 AM. |

well its almost a year since i got the z06 and i have to say i do miss my camaro sometimes, but i really like this car!!! I miss the backseat in the camaro to take additional poeple and i miss being able to drive around without scraping the air dam. I really like the new zl-1 black wheels, its definatly a winner...
here are a list of mods done since I bought the z06: 360 straight five forged wheels 19x10 and 20x30 running 285-30-19 and 345-25-20 nitto invos. blacked out side markers, blacked out fog lights and lowered on stock bolts. enjoy the pics....

I sold my SS as well. We had a kid and the car was too tight. I breached the Z06 subject with my wife (and this is not one of those ask for permission type relationships... more of I'm Thinking of spending $40,000 on a toy, you have any thoughts)... she and I are both in love with Jet Stream Blue but the reaction I got was as expected. She said that is fine but we could never take our son anywhere. That was enough for me.
You have a beautiful car. Not sure on the wheels but I don't hate them. How's she run? |
