Sure why not. I'm only 24, and this is only my 2nd car.

I liked them because they were used in racing, not because they were on vettes, i could care less about vettes.

I dont think so... Not that I remember, cause i remember going to a race when i was little and the car had rookie stripes on the front fender.

I think it goes away when the driver completes enough races to earn a Regional license. We ran one on the Shelby at both SCCA schools. I never ran regionals as we went directly to vintage racing in the 80's
