Being loyal to one car make

I have this notion in my head that I need to be loyal to one car make. It's either chevy for life, BMW for life, Infiniti for life, etc. All my friends have a make they like, and are fanatics with, for example my friend has lived his whole life with Bimmers, another one Audis. And where am I? I know this is a really stupid notion but has anyone felt the same? The camaro is the only chevy car I like, the Infiniti coupes are the only infiniti cars I like. I feel like it can't be like that, and that I need to like most cars that a certain make makes, and be a fan. Has anyone felt like this?

I did until 2004 when GM was making really crappy cars and jumped ship to Ford with a Mustang.

I have owned GM vehicles all my life. Primarily Pontiac. I wish they were still around. A 5th gen Firebird would have been awesome.

I like all types of cars and have owned many different brands ,but I tend to stick with GM trucks and American cars. I don't really have any brand loyalty ,but I tend to buy Ford or Chevy because my friend has dealerships.

I would however quit buying cars all together if the only cars made were toyotas and hondas.

IMO, it's perfectly fine if you have a preference for one brand over another. That being said, I do think it is an issue when those preferences are not a result of a personal experience with a brand but rather something that has simply been passed on it them by someone else. ( i.e. My grandfather owned Fords, my dad owned Fords, and therefore I will only buy a Ford.)

I just love cars, so if it's a cool car I'll like it.

Truthfully i don't give a shit about GM. I like Chevy because my favorite cars were always Chevy but that's by chance. It isn't really any better or worse than the others.

I was always partial to foreign makes so this is my first Chevy and in love with it! If it looks good I'm all over it regardless of who slaps their brand on it.

All my vehicles have been Chevy's:
- 1978 Camaro LT (first car)
- 2004 Silverado 1500 (original owner, still own)
- 2011 Camaro SS

All have been perfect and treated me well.
If the current GM lineup is any indication what's to come, I will most likely continue my GM loyalty in the future.

so far all I've known is Chevy.
My Dad gave me a Silverado back in '07 and now I drive a Camaro.
Doesnt help that the only dodges I know of has either a transmission problem, or problem starting.
Ford+other makes however, once I get out of school I'll do some scouting and explore.
