Ford Door edge Protector - I want it!
The new Door Edge protector feature, which will arrive on the Ford Focus in 2012, is the first active system designed to provide a protective barrier for the door edge.

I am in agreement, bad idea. Its not MY car that I have to worry about, its the other guy... and if i have to worry about them hitting my car without something, they are more likely to just let the door go since they have "protection"...

Kinda funny that they're designing this feature for a vehicle that looks like a POS! These are the kinds of vehicles that worry me because the persons that drive these vehicles don't care when they're opening their doors.
