Well it is official now....A&M is coming to the SEC but it appears that the Big "12" will stay intact for now and that is a good thing.

Mizzou and A&M in the SEC? I would give them both 2 years before they come crying back to the Big XII

I doubt the SEC would want Mizzou, though. Maybe the market is big enough to pursue, but I see them going a different direction to get to 14 teams...

Thats Funny Misourri wants a part in the contract where if a team wants to leave they have to pay a G@d awful amount of money to leave. Plus this is going be something thats handled through lawyers.

Texas and OU can say what they want MU is the school that got everything pulled back to where it is now.

I'm shocked A&M left to the SEC with the way money is being spread around now and how things are looked at. I saw on the big12's website what the contract looks like and its give more $$$$$ over time and equal Tv showing.

With the $$$$ they will make they will have to think about traveling and traveling with a band and marketing and etc and in this economy thats not cheap these days.

This all goes back to my earlier point of teh Big 12 dissolving....the extreme cost of playing in th ePac 12/14/16 would eat up a ton of money.

Well its done lol AGGIES TO THE SEC

You know what the difference between the University of Oklahoma being in the Big 12 and Texas A&M going to the SEC is? Simple its Oklahoma wanting to win and Texas A&M wanting to get away from Texas.

I think most of us can agree that the Aggies have little chance of competing in the SEC. Yes they may Win ball games but no way they will go in and win on a weekly basis there is just to many ties and blood and history with other schools.
In the end, most people from the big12 will wish them luck and move on. Now that they have made their decision and seen it through There is one question to be asked - How dumb can the Aggies be?

They are barely over .500 in the Big 12. They have been a below average program, usually playing only the role of spoiler for most of the last decade. They are 37-43 in Big 12 conference play in the last 10 years. South Carolina is 37-44 in the same period in the SEC. Of the 12 teams in the SEC, seven of them have a better conference record than Texas A&M does in the Big 12.
At this point, I assume the only thing we can do is pat them on the back and say, "Go make the state of Texas proud." By the way before any of you SEC folks come back and ask. After a TD is made corp members line up behind the goal post and grab there crotch and scream .... why ? Lets just say they are Aggies and leave it at that lol

http://youtu.be/wMmhnqUXseE

I will say that I have a few friends who have graduated from A&M with a Great education I hope they prove me wrong but this seems like one of the biggest penis envy, short sighted decisions I have seen in a long time. This decision was made by a group of people that are supposed to be smart. Oh wait it has something to do with us TU the other school down 35 that gets all the exposure.

Every Aggie should ask himself or herself a question - In the next 15 years who will have more of an opportunity to win a conference championship or a national championship in football, men's basketball and baseball? There is no way they can answer themselves over Texas or Oklahoma given the conference affiliations.

IMO The only thing that matters is winning and to make money you have to win. Maybe they can win at the bank. Can a winning ego be measured?

GOOD LUCK to all of the Aggie's out there Thanksgiving will be missed after this year. Holidays will be different when families gather because there is no house divided Longhorn/Aggie Rivalry there.
You can always say We beat you last at DKR and we can always point out the wide spread winning pct we have over you for all time lol In the end it means nothing as We wont play.

Our college fight songs bash one another lol Yet we will play them weekly and never play one another. I'm actually kind of sick this has happened.

I knew there was ENVY but to end something that so many loved and looked fwd to is just Silly.

oh well Good Luck

I think they're trying to work out schedules so that the Longhorn-Aggie game will continue to be played on Thanksgiving as a non-conference game...

We'll just have to wait and see if that happens...
