Here goes another union buy-off. Obama is so deep in bed with these thugs I don't think he can sneeze without their permission. GM and Dodge need to say get your a!s to work now under this contract or you are FIRED all of them. Between the UAW and the Teachers Unions, they should all be fired.

I've been in a few assembly plants and I've never really noticed anyone breaking a sweat. However, no doubt it is very tedious and boring work and as a result I would hope to be better compensated for doing it.

Please don't turn this into politics and get it closed. Also in order to kick out the unions, it has to start at the state level. The state has to adopt the policies of the "Right to Work" ...

Ding!

Too bad people just don't get that. The graphic posted earlier says it all... $83k for a guy bolting doors onto trucks. Seriously.

To the guy earlier that said fat cat bankers are to blame for our current economic situation, I suggest you research the history behind what happened. While bankers did create the financial crisis, the root cause was government manipulation of the mortgage market. Read the book "Housing Boom and Bust" by Thomas Sowell.

So the worker isn't supposed to get a piece of the pie? Save all the wealth for the people on the top that do the least. This kind of thinking that you and many others have is what is ruining this country. I've owned a business for over 20 years ,and I can tell it pays large to pay your employees well and treat them right. It helped to make me very wealthy along with having some great people working for me. You know the old saying, you get what you pay for. It's governmental policies that are hurting the American work force more than unions.

You are spot on coolman. These gov't regulations are out of control. It kills entrepreneur's passion to run a business.

Unfortunately, they are often indistinguishable.

I understand some people will argue we won't be as competitive, but do you really think it's fair for someone who has worked in a company building the very same car you drive to earn peanuts?? IMO... if you (me included) can afford a toy like this, we should have a heart and let the workers collectively bargen. On the flip side, we now have competition from China and other countries so their needs to be a ballance... Oh and no I'm not a lefty or in a Union just someone who believes in fair wages.
Ummmmmm yeah these are two of the most moronic arguments I have ever heard.I am not independently wealthy, my parents didn't leave me a trust fund. I dropped out of college with a bank account balance of less than $20. I now earn $10.XX an hour have a wife and two kids recently bought a decent sized house in a very nice neighborhood and Lord willing will be buying a Camaro middle of next year.

Thanks guys for showing your complete and utter ignorance for just about everything in life. You both would benefit greatly from this quote from Mark Twain, "It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt"
