Nuevo Camaro
Hello Camaro5 community! Just another face in the crowd, hoping to gain some insight on this "cherry" ride as a proud new owner of a Camaro
![]() Little about myself. Recently returned from an over-sea's tour in England after 3 1/2 long years. I used to own an R-33 Nissan Skyline... ![]() ![]() Sadly however, I was unable to "legally" bring this car back. Long story short, to have been able to bring the car back to the states and drive, it'd of cost me a good 35-40k since I'd have to pay out of pocket for shipping and modification/records to make it U.S. spec. I grew up loving import cars, as most kids do, but once I began to see the bigger picture in being a car enthusiast, I set my sights on vehicles worthy of showing off. Hence the R-33 Skyline (how many 23yr olds can say they ever owned a turbo'ed Skyline )Months following the purchase of the Skyline, and realizing I wouldn't be able to afford bringing it back, I began to think ahead of what sort of car I'd want back in the states. Around the Base I began to see the new Challneger's, and had seen the New Mustangs running around; that pushed my thought process into getting my hands dirty and attemtping to get ahold of an old muscle car. I was really digging the 1970's Chevy Nova, and the plan was to buy one, and restore it... ...that is till I began to see the new Camaro. I had never thought much of the old Camaro's, fact I thought they looked the furthest away from a "tanked" looking matte grey muscle car. But, upon changing stations here to New Mexico, I had the luxury of finding a Camaro for an affordable price. It was 1 of 3 on the Lot, other's were a black automatic and a red SS, which was too rich for my blood. With my savings, and the sale of the Nissan Skyline, I was able to drive away with this beast. While searching for aftermarket parts, I always seemed to across this forum, which after spending hours reading, made me want to be apart of it's community. So, looking forward to sharing and learning!

Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's and wive's here don't care....and take it easy.
![]() oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!
