The new Silverados have excellent steering. Not sure if all trucks are like this, but the front suspension now has struts. (just like tahoes/suberbans/avalanche). the springs are at the top of the struts. the springs don't rest on any control arms. (the heavy duty trucks probably aren't like this though. Theres no way.)

this is the first time i have seen (double wishbone) front end set up like this. this probably explains why the steering feels so car-like.

GM trucks look expensive looking and high class. (all of them including their suv's.)

The Ford trucks look different due to the very high walls of the bed in back. I had a composite INTAKE manifold fail on a Ford OHC V8, so now I assume it will happen again, which is why I stay far away from Ford V8 engines. Though it looks like their new intakes are metal now, and may have resolved that issue. Also, I bet that little air-idle-control-valve thing that fails all the time, still is on their engines right now which is another reason I don't like them. The V6 and V8's have them. They get dirty and the car won't hold an idle, then you remove it/clean it or spray it with carb cleaner. I have never heard of that happening on chevy V8s yet.

Edit: The more I see this, the more I like it!
That's the Colorado. Midsize.

Unknown whether or not we'll get that exact truck, but as of now, the current GMT-355 trucks will go out of production until the new models are ready to go in 2014ish.

Ford, ugly box, in fact, I don't really like the chevy's or gmc's newest body style.
I really liked the 2002 chevys.
If I were to get a new half ton it would be a dodge.
However.......... GMC all terrain concept.

Just curious if ford fixed their paint issues, our old expedition had paint that always bubble/ pealed on the hood, and we looked at a newer one that did the same.

I have an 07 Sierra classic. The new body style with the exaggerated fender flairs and jacked up rear suspension looks pretty lame.

But I don't care a whole lot for the looks of some of the lower models.

Chevy's silverado is great too, but just a bit older and bit outclassed. Just wait for the next gen.

But for me, if I had to rate in order of what I'd own it would be: 1) Dodge Ram. 2)Ford F-150 3) Chevy Silverado.

I just love them new Dodge trucks...great looking on the outside, beautiful interior, and plenty of power. Can't beat that trio. If the Camaro had not came out, I'd likely own a new gen Ram

Went to look at the dodge trucks a few weeks ago. You will notice things like trim pieces missing that the Silverado has and cheap parts like the radiator cover piece being a card board like material. The truck styling looks great, but quality isn't there.

Care to specify exactly what was wrong?

My dad's 02 explorer was the same way, bubbles and rust all over the hood and front fascia.
EDIT: not to mention the inevitable crack on the rear window panel that all explorers of that age seemed to have gotten...

In your opinion. See, opinions are like aholes. Everyone has one and speaks as though it is fact, when in fact it is only their opinion. Thus, not making it right or wrong, just an opinion. Just sayin.
