Haha well after this incident they're going to install metal detectors at the main entrances I think.

There aren't any metal detectors at the main entrance of the courthouse (they are outside the courtrooms) because we're in a small town where stuff like this just doesn't happen. Bet they will be rethinking that. Although, if I'd seen a man stroll in with a semiautomatic rifle, wearing tactical vest and webbing, I sure as hell wouldn't have let him get all the way upstairs before alerting someone...

Really freaking scary. I'm saying a little prayer of thanks tonight that by a fluke, I wasn't there.

I know that I HATE working too hard or working over but in this case I would be very thankful that I did! I always say that things happen for a reason, I guess that this was your reason. Glad to hear that your friend is OK!

Even in my small home town the court-houses all have metal detectors to get in. That's a town not far from where you are, either.
