I was so excited for the start of the season since lately they have been short for the Cowboys. The game went exactly as they have for the last couple years. Start out of the gates ahead kicking butt, just to have Romo do 3 or 4 dumb ass things for no explainable reason and blow the entire game in the second half (or even final quarter). Blew a 2 possession lead in 3 or 4 plays as always. Then laughs about it.

Mr. Romeo needed to be cut 2 years ago!!! Romeo is not the QB that will get America's team back to the Super Bowl....been saying this for the last few years. Mr. Jones needs to cut and run out and find a future Cowboys "franchise quarterback"!!!

I wouldn't hold my breath! Jerry Jones came out and said what a GREAT job Romo is doing! He's not going anywhere! Jerry has spoken!

As im not a Huge Romo Fan I dont see why everyone is trying to HANG the SOB.

Romor's fumble was a guy trying to make a play with a defender making a CLEAN hit on him.
His INT was the WR not running the correct Route ( Dez even walked over to Romo after the play hitting his chest saying my fault ) Even the comentator said the Wr ran the wrong route. ( Timing pattern ball is where the WR should have been )

Everyone wants to talk about Romo's BS mistake but no one wants to mention when we had 41 seconds left and 38 yards to go until we were in possible fieldgoal range and we had back to back to back STUPID BS penalties. Was that Romo's fault ? No that kept us from winning.

How about Wittens long run.....Why was he looking back at the 8 yard line to start fighting off a defender just keep running and lower your shoulders make the defender ride you into the Endzone or into the pylon by turning back you slow yourself down. ( of course this is something that happens so suddenly )
that kept us out of the endzone.

How about the blown coverage with no upback protecting the punter just before the blocked kick that was taken in for a Td ?

In years past yes Romo F#cked up but I honestly cant say this one Game here is totally his Fault. As a Team Dallas Lost this game.

IMO this will build character and leave a bitter taste in there mouth.

One thing he could work on YES is holding the ball better. I agree there.

From our past Qb's or expierements with Qb's Romo is the best imo since Aikman.

One thing I can say for sure Romo is not your typical Cowboy QB. Roger , Troy those are class Act Qb's who run the offense for America's Team this is why I was Hoping a Sam Bradford or Colt McCoy would have been selected by Dallas. Two of the most Class Act kids in the NCAA for decades.

Absolutely, and it was the right thing to do; but how about some ball protection? That's a rookie mistake. It isn't the first time he's tried to make a sprint towards the goal like he's got the skill and speed as someone like Michael Vick holding the ball straight out like a super star. Preventable.

He absolutely ran the wrong route. Most QBs that call the route can spot that before choosing to still release the ball to a man with double coverage.

Depends on which ones you are referring to. If you're talking about the two occasions where we had multiple flags on the same snap; the false start (#77 i think) obviously not his fault. But the multiple delay of game flags because he waits until the play clock is on 1 sec, yes his fault. Commentators even made reference to the fact that he kept doing that the whole game because he's so worried about the other team's defensive line. And even when he did get the snap off before the play clock ran out that in it of itself is a rookie move because if you wait till one second every time, the defense knows exactly when to come off the line and your offensive line has not chance to get the leverage on those giant defensive players.

Additionally, when you say that kept us from winning, I disagree. That was just the last opportunity before the game ended to win; but the loss of our two possession lead because of all the other Romeo-isms is what put us in to that critical position, thus causing the loss. If he didn't make all those other bluffs we don't even have to worry about a kick just to skate by.

Ummmm, yeah probably could have handled the situation better, but come on, you really gonna hold that against a how many time pro-bowler? One of the best on the team and has been in the game much longer than Mr. Romeo. I can let that slide (and not just because it's his jersey I'm sporting during the games).

Yeah, that sucked. I'd be willing to let that slide too based on the fact that it hasn't happened since I can remember. Watching that happen it was some rookie mistakes that took place with the man to man versus zone, but again I can't help but think that we could have afforded that block if Romo could have sealed the deal after Witten put forth that beautiful interception to get our ball back (another reason to forgive Witten for the above).

He's definitely one of the best compared to the others we were lucky enough to get rid of, but Kitna came in when Romo was hurt and already established a better record than him. Your second string shouldn't be better than your starter.

Also, his errors seem to be pretty consistent from game to game.

Romo isn't the real problem, he's no great QB, but he isn't the big problem either. Although he is pretty used to losing, and that may end up being biggest problem.
Put in a good oline and offense would be just fine.
Jerry needs to fire himself, we all know that won't happen.
Over the cap for what? JJ is a moron, other GMs must just laugh at that idiot.
3 guys. Whitten,Ware,Austin are the only guys that should be making big $ on that team.
Secondary, running backs, offensive line, linebackers, are all below average talent or worse.
That will take years to built top notch O line, and JJ doesn't draft it.

Like someone else said

Dallas can USE THIS feeling of complete Humiliation and channel it towards reducing the mistakes.

You could say good thing this happened now, and not later.

Romo's issue is obvious. He gets TOO EXCITED. Over anxious. Overconfident, especially when the team is winning.

Romo DOES make spectacular plays. He has done it plenty of times. He is humiliated to the core right now.

That's why he will be just fine.

Looking at the numbers, Romo looks ok, but watching him play, scramble and fall down, throw interceptions and fumble the ball, I have to agree that Romo needs to look for other work!! I know if Dallas had a better Offensive Line, it would cut down on some of the above. But if you look at other QB's such as Michael Vick and McNabb, some of this could be eliminated with a better QB.
