I agree the atmosphere will be loud for SEC Games as nearly every stadium peaks 100,000+ but if any big12 team can ACCEPT the loud NOISE like its no other it would be a&m. Go Stand over the 12thman sign at the maroon out Game each year during the War Hymn. http://youtu.be/xoZuUQ_B0oE ( im gagging at 1:06 )

I dont know even a Longhorn Fan who will say they have heard anything any louder ( and I work on a flightline daily where F16's take off with afterburner )
Trust me the dam aggies will get there A$$es kicked in the SEC but it wont be because of it being to loud lol And I promise you even after an A$$ kicking Aggie Fans will cheer and whoop louder than the winning team singing there dam song lol

Hey PQ want a good laugh ? Only a Group of aggies would sing the war hymn and saw the Horns off at the reception

LOL, I agree noise only affects you if you let it....Bama did rretty good this past weekend handling the noise.....Noise is an excuse if you ask me.

Like PQ said times are a changing, even though I do not like it. A&M will learn how we play football in the south......Some think Texas is the be all of football and while they have great high school programs and recruits that is only one small part.

Luckily the SEC has won the past 5 BCS N/C's...Why? Because on that one day we were better and have been consistant over a period of time.

Although I think this year it ends because OU looks real impressive. If OU gets through this weekend at Florida St then they will play in New Orleans.....who they play remains open at this point.. Everyone around here thinks it will be either Alabama or LSU but I am not convinced.

While Bama has looked OK in the last two games I still think they are suspect. Sometihng just doesn't seem right....no explosive plays and that aint't good.

In my perfect world I would love either Alabama, LSU, Fl St or OU to lose and Boise St to play one of these teams for the BCS N/C...then we could put the Boise St issue to bed.

OU - Boist St 55-17
Bama - Boise St 35-7
Fl St- Boise 35-21
LSU - Boise St 42-17

I think that Boise States points would come late in a game after it is all said and done in either of these games. They tried to guage froma Georgia game...not even close.

WOW!

Granted, their opponents haven't been BCS contenders, but for my perpetual underdog alma mater, this is HUGE!

You guys sill have a team? I thought they stopped the program when Bledsoe left.....

I kid I kid.....

But it wouldn't put it to bed at all I don't think. Any more than OU losing by 40 to USC put OU to bed so to speak. It'll be chalked up to just a bad game.

Boise beat OU. Utah beat Bama. Boise beat Georgia. So a loss to a good team wouldn't really change anyones mind.

But don't forget Okie St., A&M (who eat OU last year) and Texas.... ALL could beat OU on the right day.

I'll give you Ok St, But A&M did not impress when they played SMU...Defense was suspect and OU will exploit that. Texas is still trying to find a QB, Benched Gilbert and is now going with the 2 QB system....Young McCoy will have a hard time against OU's Defense.

As with any rivalry game anyone can get beat, kinda the reason I like the old way, LOL makes for interesting Saturdays.

OU-Fl St will be a real good game this weekend.

I tossed in A$M because they still have the talent. And they play every year. And Texas can beat anybody on a given day if you're not on your game. Teams like that, who are in rebuilding mode, can put a great game together and if at the same time you have a bad game, it can be a loss real fast.

Another thing that makes the games so up in the air is the fact they play every year. Conference teams play each other every year. They already know each other. So the games are more competitive when they have any kind of talent. That's why teams like Arkansas, South Carolina, Tennessee etc..... seem to be 'hard to beat week in and week out'. Because they play every year. There are no surprizes. And with traditional squat, hike, and hand/toss offense it makes for competetive and close games by default. When you introduce something different ie..... Tebow and spread offense, Cam Newton and whatever that offense was. lol, you get different games. Bradford and the slew of Big 12 QBs and the games get lopsided. Something different.

But when everyones familiar, it can go any way. Sure, OU will be favored. But my guess is by 6 with A&M and by 3 with Okie St. and by 3 with Texas. Some things could change in the weeks to come but it won't be far from that.

A&M and Oklahoma by 2.5 Td's if not more by mid 4th QTR ( IN NORMAN ) if it was at KYle field watch out GOOOOOD Game.

Okie St vs OU VERY CLOSE but OU Pulls it out.

Texas vs OU ........ wow how do I say this without leaving a bad taste in my mouth.

Texas is VERY young like no other and yes we are stacked with Talent and Yes we could come out there with a game plan no one can practice for since we are a New offense and Win ( any given day )

But as young as we are and slow starting that we are lets get real.
OU will more than likely jump out there 2 Td's and wont look back.
I do think more towards the end of the game the scoring slows down
but in all reality OU is Stacked with upper classman who are kicking on
all 4 cylinders and for this Game expierence knows what to do.

I dont even have a clue on the score but OU should Win
As long as its a respectable score I can live with it this year.

OU will always have an offense its the DEfense I want to see in a Big Game. Since Mike left its been questionable.

Wow this is the best response I have heard anyone say in a long time. thats all it is any given day. and right now every SEC team wants to keep that winning streak going.

Ahhh, the Bledsoe era... That's when I was in school! You don't remember the Ryan Leaf era? Probably not - his dismal NFL performance erased most people's positive memories of him....
But yes, the Cougs still have football - apparently pretty good football this year, too!

Michigan is always excited to beat ND it's a big rivalry game. We're coming off our worst 3 year stretch in history, it's going to take a little time to get back to full strength again. Hoke definitely has the program going in the right direction though.

Hey all, your favorite Aggie fan is back! Did y'all miss me? I got back to America from another year in the sandbox about a week ago and with the little time I've spent on C5, I haven't popped in here much.

Looks like I missed a lot, but I'll try and cover the basics real quick, LOL.

I have a hard time seeing OU & OKST in the PAC-whatever it will be. Times change I guess.

I read this today on Orangebloods about why Texas going to the ACC is a good thing.....and it's a pretty interesting article I thought.....
http://texas.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1264923

I think Texas Football would do well aginst the ACC teams and it did make some valid points regarding other sports.

As far as Baylor talking about maintaining rivalries and "Texas Football"...well, they weren't singing that tune when the SWC broke up, and joined the Big 8 to form the BIG XII were they? Where was the talk about suing people when Rice, TCU, SMU and Houston got left out in the cold and Baylor got to get in the Big XII? Yeah, I get it they are looking out for themselves and they see the writing on the wall. What will Baylor do if OU decides to go West, sue the PAC-12 also?

Aggies v SMU...yeah, defense needs to tighten up, got way better after halftime. I still think they will finish 2nd in the Big XII South.

Texas' 2 wins....not impressed by either one at all but I think McCoy will be a solid QB with a lot of potential. He's going to take his lumps this year but he has a great pedigree and bright future ahead.

It's early, but right now I think OU will run the house in the Big XII. Tough games against Texas, OKST, and A&M (Rankings won't matter for any of these games) and I think OU's home schedule helps them this year. I'm looking forward to the OU-FSU game, definetly.

Nice, bet we could teach Michigan what a running-option offensive is and how to play defense as well.

A&M is just sour grapes but you see it all the time in college sports. They will have to change their philosophy coming to the SEC. I think that they did not beat Tx, OU, TT, Ok ST on a consistent basis and figure they can come east and do better....really lmao. I watched the last game they played and all I heard was the 12th man from the announcers and what noise the stadium was. PLLLLEase. Wait till they come to a 100 k plus stadium or go to Tiger Stadium at night in Baton Rouge then they will see what noise is all about.

I really wanted things to stay the way they are, I like the tradition I guess but I guess those times are a changing.
Just let them play Georgia Tech one time and they will be cryin' to have the old days back!
