Today marked the 10 years anniversary of the 9-11 attack on the American soil. Our blood were spilled, but through the scars of our lost, we found strength. Through the smoke and fire, we found sacrifice and love for many other than ourself. We shall united and we shall never forget those that gave up their life in this unfaithful day and the events that followed. We stand as a nation, united by it's people, a symbol of freedom, God bless the United State of America.

Today our daughter is in New York preparing to sing with her college at 2:00 in the Avery Fisher Hall.

Just came back from there. Paris France.
These 2 represent the 2 WTC towers. On them are written the names of the victims. US Ambassador and NYC FF Tony Benetatos where there to commemorate.

(for those who know Paris, this is on the Trocadero, just in Front of the Eiffel Tower)

All together behind America

For the detail, it started to rain heavily at the very moment the bell rang to commemorate the first airplane hitting the WTC ... I guess God's was crying ...

I thought about getting up early to watch the memorial services, but was too tired to get up at 5 today. Kind of glad I didn't - just watching clips of it on the news has me in tears... Even 10 years later, the tragedy is still so fresh...

I was in Paris 2 weeks ago and at this spot. This wasn't there when we were though. 10 years ago, I was in NY when this happened. I'll never forget that dreadful day.

I'll never forget that day,I was 18 years old at the time. I had a night shift that day at the Target I was LP at so I slept in. I probably woke up about 10:30 AM West Coast time. Nobody had called me and I had no idea what was going on. I never watch the news....but for some reason on that day the first thing I did was turn on the TV to CNN. The first image I saw was of the South Tower falling, followed by the north.... I couldn't believe what I just saw...I had to call several people just to find out what happened.

I still look at video from 9/11 and feel like I did on that day. Here's to those that gave their lives, both willingly and unwillingly.

I was 18 also going on 19 just graduated from high school that year and remember grabbing some lunch at Subway and thought the whole world was going to end after listening to all the events going on.:(
