I want a camaro because I love to go fast. I like being pulled back into my seat as I push down on the throttle. I think most women are more impressed with men who drive BMWs, Mercedes and Audis etc.. than guys with camaros and mustangs. True muscle car guys drive them because they like raw power and want to make their buddies jealous and show them whos car is faster. Thats just what I think. I don't buy cars to impress women.

I'm getting it because:

1. Its a cool car. I've always had trucks, and I feel its time for a change! Wait that sounds familiar!

2. I'm 29. While not old, it's getting past young. You're only alive once, I feel I should do something youthful while I still have a bit of youth left! That way I can look back and talk about something worthwhile.

3. I've never really enjoyed driving. Everyone else seems to like it. I could never figure out why...until now. They had fun things to drive and I never have.

This is a line that has sprung up in the last few years. Well, i started liking Camaro's when i was 5, and i was hardly aware of my appendage then. They seem to hit people with sports cars with it, as opposed to luxury cars. Just a bunch of nonsense, and it's usually jealous guys even more than women saying it. I like quiet colors on cars, i don't like loud pipes, but i do like beautiful cars. End of story!!!! Men get criticized for all kinds of ^&%*&. Being bald, fighting baldness, pot bellies. Women on the other hand paint on their face, color their hair, get implants. Good grief.

Why do women say this? (Would appreciate hearing from any women out there who read this too!)
Women like this baffle me... and I am a woman. Never got very much into shoes, shopping, and such, so probably I am an oddity. Oh, and I am buying a Camaro for the same reasons you are.

this is soo not true. Everyone knows that men who drive sports cars aren't trying to make up for anything. Its men that drive BIG trucks that are trying to make up for something else SMALL.

I'm getting a camaro because of 426hp LS3, 4 wheel independent suspension, four wheel-4 piston brembo brakes, tremic 6060 6-speed, front engine-rear drive.

Why some women think that way? they probably dated some douche bag at some point. However not all women think that way but I have noticed that higher maintenance girls tend to look at things from a "looks" perspective, its whats inside that counts, right?

My wife brought that up... she said if you get a Camaro people may think you have a small _____. I told her as long as she knows what I'm working with I don't care in the least bit what anybody else thinks.

If that were the case, the Tahoe would stay since it is much larger.

My wife has known for years I've been not-so-secretly lusting over the 1st gen Camaros. Pure coincidence that Chevy decided to offer me the joys of the 5th generation at a time we could afford it. I *think* she is almost as excited as me about getting it too.
