FREEDOM! Live it, love it, SAVOR it. I love being single. I was in a really rotten relationship for almost five years, and after I got out of it, I was devastated. I didn't know how to be single; I've never been single for more than a few months at a time. However, now, nine months later, I'm loving it! Plenty of dates whenever I want them (the car helps! LOL), and FREEDOM. I can do what I want, when I want, without worrying about whether it's ok with someone else. I'm also 28. So no worries; go have a good time and live your life! Don't look for Ms. Right... look for Ms. Right Now-- and if she's worthy, eventually that 'Now' part will just fall away. :party0048:

Looks like you need a Camaro girl that will help you wash, wax, detail and mod your car with you.

you're telling me! I've tried getting her to take pictures with the car and i got the "maybe" which means no in female terms. I already told her what I wanted for my birthday, so we'll see how she does. If she fails, she gone.

Yeah seriously, she'll bitch at you? AND not take pictures with that hot car? That is just... ugh, dumb. My ex has a '97 and he spent like an entire year every free moment working on that car, redoing the interior, exterior, engine, everything. I was right there with him, helping him. It's his money and his time and if that's what he wanted to do, hell yeah, go do it. I'm not about to tell a man how to spend his money or his time.

She doesn't bitch at me. She just wishes I spent more attention/money on her (aka flowers and dinner lmao). Shes not that bad, just annoying at times. Shes a bomb shell though so I can't complain ahah

+ No approval needed for expensive mods (or even inexpensive)

I guess I will be the first to chime in and say that I am happily married. There seems to be a lot of people here who hate their spouse. If you are so miserable get a divorce. My wife respects our Camaro and doesn't mind that I constantly wash it because she wants it looking good too. If I want to spend money on mods than I do. I am a Engineer, she is a teacher, we have separate bank accounts. We are each responsible for specific bills. As long as everything gets paid than we do what we want with the left over money. I don't cry when she gets her hair/nails done or buys her 1000th pair of shoes. So she doesn't complain when I spend money on the ride.

I was waiting for someone to chime in that felt like this. It does seem like everyone hates their spouse.... Is marriage really that bad? Im in a relationship, not married though. Lol if its anything like you guys make it out to be, sounds like an easily swayed person would run fast after reading some of these posts!

I guess some people just were not very selective on who they married. If you want to watch porn like people have said, find one who likes to watch porn. If you are a car nut, find one that is a car nut. If you are a fat lazy couch potato than find a fat lazy couch potato(because that's prob all you will be able to get) My wife has been my best friend since we were 12, we started "dating" when we were 17, got married when we were 24. Just know what your getting into before you do it.

Thanks guys. Pizzle, I wish I could explain better but we've both known it was coming for a while. Doesn't make it easy when something long-term ends. I do think I'll take your last suggestion though

Jager, couldn't agree more. My parents got engaged after three days and have been married thirty-something years now. Marriage is work, and you have to find the right girl I just happen to have to find one who likes to work out a little more and wants the same things I want (family, house, etc).

Thanks all for the kind words. I feel much better after a few beers and a good night's sleep. SO F'N EXCITED ABOUT THIS CAR!

Also, Marriage is not for everyone...it is a lot of work and requires commitment.

There are some that get married for better or worse or until something better comes along.

Glad there are some positive remarks here too.........I'm single right now.....but I know you can be happily married........I was........it wasn't perfect, but nothing is. To each their own, if you don't share well, you probably shouldn't be married. It takes commitment, sharing, collaboration and compromise, not easy, but well worth it for the right person.

I'm still trying to figure out how the Camaro payments are getting easier with one less income to help out???

And I agree with Jagerday- I've been with my wife for 26 years now and am just as happy, if not more so then the day we met. I got very lucky to meet someone like her. And being with me isn't the easiest either (party'er, Biker, spender, bar hopper , Ravens season ticket holder, concert attender, etc). I have it made.

Could be she had no income so spending money on her made more for the camaro when she was gone.
