Sorry, it was Francis Bacon. I get the shut out.

Your quote is from Ceasar. "I came, I saw, I conquered."

Hmm, yeah, the "Aldus" oughta' be "Aldous". Now this second bit about "F 'em!" could only be a very inhibited character afraid of sayin' "**** 'em!" as would a normal person.

This prolly would cover politicians wanting to be "one of the boys", yet still up for tea with the granny ladies bridge club. How 'bout Barrack Obama or Mitten Romney?

By the way I said F 'em because of the moderators not that he was inhibited in any way obviously, LOL, and here's a good one.

This quote is worded in a direct manner and about a subject (general problem solving) that I believe not to have been a topic of discussion until the latter part of the Twentieth Century. This narrows the field of candidates.

Could it be Warren Buffet or Steve Jobs?

The wife says that your quote was spoken by the CEO of Target Stores. She seems pretty adamant; I ain't gonna' doubt her on this.

New quote: "Sic semper tyrannis!"

John Wilkes Booth - Thus always to tyrants.

Ooo, we ARE being picky today, aren't we. The update is that it was said by the CEO of Walmart, not Target.

The religious teachings one was said by General "Stonewall" Jackson (I learned this one from the PBS documentary on the Civil War by Ken Burns)

Are we all happy and up to date now?

New quote: "Ecce Homo."
