The other day in Sarasota I pulled away from a light and kinda red lined it in first and second then backed off. Couple cars behind I noticed a white Tahoe, damn! Sure enough, Sarasota's finest. He tailgated me for a mile then pulled me over. After the usual lic and reg he praised me for not smoking the tires but he sure could hear me gas it, headers and borla exhaust, not quiet! No ticket, have a nice day sir. Sarasota cops are the best!

He probably checked your license plate and tailed you to get you to slow down.

As far as him breaking the rules. Cops have places to be. Just because he didn't run his lights the whole way didn't mean he wasn't about to respond to a call.

Here you go again Nightfall....pick a story and stick with it dude!

So is it 15 over or 10 you "mostly" do or you don't give them a reason to pull you over by driving "dead on" the speed limit.

Just an FYI....speeding IS a reason to pull you over, not harassment.

....depending on what time it is???? theres always an officer on duty at some time. and nobody wants to read your 298374274 posts in a single thread with horrible spelling and grammar that rambles on and on. And when you said if a state trooper pulls you over, you must have done something bad...well i got pulled over for having taillight tint and a loud exhaust...i'm sure thats right up there next to rape and murder.

Unfortunately I've been pulled over and ticketed more times than I can keep track. Fortunately none have stuck on my record as an adult. (thanks to a lawyer)

I have been pulled over by a trooper- once for going 97 in a 65 trying to get my girlfriend at the time home by her curfew (I was 17 at the time), and another for no front plate- nothing else .

I've had many times where the cop sees me speed and just scares me. It definitely slows me down for a while.

Have you ever taken into consideration he may not need lights turn on to get to somewhere in a hurry. Just cause police get called don't mean its necessary to run lights and siren to that particular call. Maybe you should know what going on with that officer before judging him.

There was no reason for him to pull into are lane to do that. No other cars around us for miles

Also if it was a really call he should have kept his lights ON. Not flash them for a milli sec then blow by us like he did

Police dont camp out to wait for an excuse. Its plain and simple of you are breaking the law then he's gonna do his job and pull you over. Some of the smallest reason a police officer pull over someone can lead to some of he worse crimes which in returns get the bad guys off the road and makes the public safer. What the officer to you maybe camping to him it's sitting in a known area where people commit a crime whether traffic or criminal and he's there to prevent it from happening. So show some respect.

Well let see first off you're riding in the left lane correct. Well I know in most states that's the passing lane and therefore noone should be riding in that lane unless you are passing another vehicle. Could he have gone around sure he could but why should he when you could easily moved out the way. Slower traffic always must yield to the right lane. He was probably in a rush to get to call that didn't call for lights and sirens. You were in left lane so he more than likely turn on his lights to move you out the way. Plus who knows of he ran your tag or not. I'm a police officer and I can careless if Its a Camaro mustang or a Prius. I pull cars over for violations not what type they are. So just as I do most law enforcement does too. There a few bad apples out there yes but 99% of them do the right thing. Heck I own a Camaro and no cops pick on me cause what I drive. Your argument is ignorant and not even valid to me.

So tell me how a legal traffic stop is abusing power. Also tell me how crime prevention is abusing power? How about know what your talking about before sticking your foot in your mouth.
