You need to make sure you do preventative maintenance on it every 3 months or so. Meaning, open it up and blow out the dust, and keep it out in the open so it doesn't get overheated.

If you have other Sony stuff, then Sony's are great

Dell XPS line is really good for what you get.

HP

Asus is also good but support isn't as solid as the others.

Toshibas are nice as well.
