The Wife is happy.

My wife has been pitching a fit for about 2 or 3 months about how she is afraid her '06 Town and County was going to die. We both decided on getting a nice used '11 Ford Edge. Long story short some guys just shouldn't sell cars and dealerships need to review their policies on how trying to get their customers into the office to talk....

We went to Nissan to see what they had. Drove a new Murano, then a Rouge.

A couple hours later we are driving her New Murano home. It seems to really fit the bill for her. i can't wait until this winter to see how the AWD gets her around.

My buddy's wife has a murano. That thing is awesome. (Although it should be for what it cost, an every option LE)

lol, a 5 year old car dying.... that'd only happen if the person really neglected to maintain the thing AT ALL or it was a lemon to begin with.

My wife likes the Murano, I'm trying to push her towards the Edge though. We have a really low-pressure Ford dealer near where I live that I want to go through. They remind me of the Chevy dealer I bought my car from so as soon as we save up the rest of the money for the car, we'll be going there and not a Nissan dealership I hope!

I'm glad your wife got the car she wanted and sorry for your bad sales experience at the Ford dealership. I went to about 6 dealerships before deciding which one to go with for my Camaro. Some were bottom of the pond scum, but I did end up finding two that seemed great!

The worst sales experience I have ever had was at a Toyota dealership. Not because of high pressure sales, but because the salesperson knew nothing about the car he was selling and lauded features such as the "spare tire" and "fancy curve in the dash" I asked about horsepower and entertainment options and he said things like "this is the base model 4 cylinder" or "it has bluetooth" in response! It was horrible! He didn't even know if the model we were looking at was offered in blue!

I thought the same thing. The only problem is it's a Town & County which IMO is the best mini-van you can buy.

The worst station wagon is still 50 times better than the best mini van.

It was a Lemon, it used oil like crazy. Dealer could not figure it out. Tailpipe was clean, garage floor and the underside of the van was also clean. At least a quart or two every few thousand miles. Other than that it was a good van, getting close to 100K. the wife wanted something new and I held off as long as I could. She is happy and I'm happy with that.

Thank God you did not buy a Murano Cross Cabriolet. Voted ugly by some automotive publications. I think it could be a Pontiac Aztek contender. I'll see if I can find a link.
