I'm trying to talk myself out of Clear Bra. I don't think I need it.
Well,
New car is almost here. It just got bayed, so I'll have to decide rather quickly, but I think I'm going to skip the Clear Bra. In part, it feels a lot like the people who buy nice new phones and then plate them in tons of armor so they never get scratched... so they never get to use the actual phone, because all they use is the armor. Now I know Clear Bra isn't nearly as noticeable, but I have other issues: 1. I hate the line it creates on the front where it ends. It does look like someone keyed your car (very precisely). 2. I hate having to worry about 'taking care of it' and using different things to wash/wax it than I would with my regular car. 3. It's really expensive, as there's no place near here, so I'd have to have someone come do it to the tune of around $1200. 4. $1200 buys a lot of touch-up paint and body work. 5. I think that just accepting that it will have some minor scratches over time is preferable to worrying about every little blemish for the entire 10+ year life of the car. Thoughts? Opinions?

I just had the bottom side done along the first hard edge and to the top of the rear gills up to that light line. New car.
My buddies Victory red looks like it was hit with sand paper in the gill area. DO IT! |

A professional will apply the film so it ends at a natural body line.
I have it on my vert and unless you know I have it, or look very closely, you'd never know it was there. You can have it applied to as much or as little of your car as you desire. I had the front facia done, the mirrors, and the gills. Cost me $900 as was done by the same guy that does all the corvettes for the local Chevy dealer. get'r done. |

I am just getting the "gills" area done. $120 total with Avery Nano Fusion.
IMHO, that is the most vulnerable part of the car. -Funk

I'm glad I got the clear bra. I hardly worry about road debris. The only thing I don't like is it gives the factory matte black stripe a glossy look.

Forget the Bra.
I had a Bra for my Car, The car was black, the bra was black. The only problem with a Bra, Dirt gets underneath, The Bra moves ever so slightly when you drive, and ends up scratching the paint underneath. |
