"Ghoul" - similar to a ghost, but ghoul is usually specific for a ghost that is haunting a person and/or place.

You're right, man with an addendum that these "creatures" eat human flesh as would jackals and vultures, yuck!

"Roe" is the raw fish eggs harvested from the bodies of some species, like sturgeon, lumpfish, et cetera.

Nah, nice poem though. "Shallot" is a small kinda' onion, sorta' purply pink and sweet tasting. In size, it's larger than a garlic, but cha' pull off "cloves of it in a similar way. It's more expensive than its cousins in the onion family.

So, it looks like another word is in order, eh? "Sloth"

It means a 19th Century political movement in England to retain the Church of England as the official, tax receiving religion for the country, whether you agreed or not. It was very reactionary in its conservatism.

Aw, c'mon fellahs. "Tides" are the gravitational effects of the Moon on the Earth that cross our world four times daily. The level of the seas rise and fall accordingly.
