The good news??? The shop does all kinds of custom work, and they said that when my hubby buys me the new exhaust system I want for my B-day, they'll only charge about $75 to install it for me.... Good to be a repeat customer, I guess!
I asked because I did the same thing in Lightning's early life. But all it did was scuff off some of the vinyl from the striping decal. The paint underneath is intact. I can see it from the drivers seat. But you can't see it when you are outside the car. Yours might drive me nuts too. I hate it when stuff like this happens. I've got a scratch on my front facia that's kind of up underneath where you can't see it unless you are looking for it, but it makes me cookoo. And Sally, I'm not even a Capricorn! (I'm planning on upgrading the exhaust on Lightning some day too.)

If there had been ANY paint left, a touch-up would have worked, I'm sure. But this was a doozy - the shiny silver metal was a real distraction while driving!
I keep trying to make myself feel better about the amount of damage that stupid move did..... I did think of another positive about getting the whole hood repainted. I don't have to worry about trying to get rid of those stubborn water spots!

I'm at least that bad. And I'm a cancer. Small shit "normal" people wouldn't sweat drive me stark raving bonkers (at least on stuff important to me like my car , especially if it was because of some dumb stunt I pulled). Ladybugsmom... I feel ur pain. I put floor mats over my GM floor mats and still freak when the cover mats get soiled. Nobody understands my OCD. My wife thinks I need meds.

LBM, ever notice that no one is better than you at beating you up? Stop it already. You LB and LB soaks it up . There is give and take in all aspects of the universe.

Go out to the garage, kiss LB goodnight and everything will be better in the morning.

It's a "ganglion cyst". I don't know if I spelled that right. I went to my GP to have a painful bump on my hand looked at today. He said they used to call it a "Bible "Bump" in the old days cuz the cure was to lay your hand on a table and have someone bang the bump as hard as they could with the largest book they had - which was typically a Bible. That would hopefully burst the sac that had built up around the cyst and it would go away. Doc said it was quite painful to fix that way and sometimes had to be done quite a few times to get the thing to completely dissipate. My GP just gave me a cortizone injection to burst the sac. Said if it came back he'd have to cut it open and drain it. What a goofy thing.
