bill2129, i commend you if you have the courage to walk up to a girl and say something like that. but, you leave it open to "her" saying "no" or "sorry, I have a bf". if she feels you are coming on too strong, she will get "defensive" and try to find a way out of the situation.

think of it this way: you have a cat and a ball of yarn. if you put the ball of yarn in front of said cat and leave it there, the cat won't pay attention to the ball of yarn. however, if you start to tease the cat by pulling the ball of yarn out of it's reach, the cat becomes interested and starts to chase after it.
