couple of word documents (with pics attached) that I need combined into a two page document. using MS Words "combine" feature overlaps the pictures instead of just adding the second document as a second page.

basically, I'm being lazy. I'm working on a two sided document and dont want to print all of one side, then restack the paper and reprint the other side. and unfortunately, I'm at a remote location and dont have access to my personal laptop (that has PDF creator/merge) or I'd do it myself.

Google has a PDF creator and editor. I've used it a couple times when I had several pages I needed to combine into one PDF.

Spike....this is the one I use.....You can built it in word, then it converts it into acrobat with all of your original formatting. works like a champ and the best part is ITS FREE!!

Go to the site.....and go to the bottom of the page in the blue box and you will find where you "browse" and find the file on your computer and it converts it.....and its fast!! I did this resenty with a 28 meg word file and it took roughly 30 seconds and I had it. Been using it for a lot of years.

but that doesnt work for me...... (blocked @ work)

I've got the software I need on my laptop, I was just up on drill weekend and wanted to work on some side projects

ahhhhhhhh the old BLOCKED AT WORK thing..... Happens to me quite a lot when I am digging around for stuff to make my job easier.....AND THEY WON'T LET ME!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

well if nothing else.....save the link.....ya never know when you might want to do some conversion for stuff at home. I mean, lets say you are making a DIY for the site and its LONG has lots a pictures, like the one I did not long ago. It would have taken a LONG time to write it in up in postes and the many pictures.....even in a WORD Doc it would have been 28 meg, but when converted to Acrobat, it ended up being right at 500K. And on top of that, people can do a SAVE if they want it, and even print it out. Its real handy for the user.

hmmmmmm this gives me another idea! lol
