ooohh damn. If the mustangs get recalled, expect a huge boost in sales of camaros from people not wanting to get mustangs anymore switching to camaros. Same thing happened for the competitor's of the camry and corrola brake recall

![]() What about the recalls on GM SUV's, Cadillacs and the Cruze? Threads like these always turn out to head the way of elementary intellect. Rage on though, you're entertaining to say the least. |

Nothing new. That is why I got rid of my 01 Mustang. Shifting became VERY difficult once the thing warmed up. Nobody, not even the best tranny shop in Phoenix could figure it out. They just said give us a blank check, and eventually, we will get it figured out. Fat chance I would do that. Dumped the car instead. Killed me though, that GT ragtop was the most fun car I have ever had.

Really? Is this even worth posting once? Its not like the Toyota recalls for the hanging throttle.

Yeah they seem to be having issues with the chinese made 6 speed MT-82. I did a lot off research for my brother. It seems hit or miss on weather you get a decent one. It shows up any where from 200miles to 7000miles. Shifts start to feel crunchy and then it just wont go into gear at all. They have fixed an issue with faulty pressure plate bolts, redesigned the clutch and clutch pedal assembly and changed the spec fluid and the problem still remains. One poor guy has had his clutch, and clutch assembly changed 3 times and the tranny 2 times and they still couldn't fix it. He has had to lemon law it. My brother saw all this and was hesitant to buy one. I told him about how the government was starting to investigate and they would make Ford fix it if it was a real problem. I said just order it. It has a warranty. They'll fix it in 3 years.

![]() I've always been the type of guy who points it out when your fly is down or you have a booger hanging out of your nose, so you won't look foolish. Same concept here, some of the remarks made were foolish but maybe I'm the bigger fool for thinking that any one of the aforementioned idiots would even come close to picking up on what I was trying to point out. I could care less about Ford's Gottarag transmission problems or that GM is #1 in sales. |

Things happen that manufacturers could not have anticipated....to ALL manufacturers. That's why they issue recalls and suck up the loss of the hundreds of thousands of dollars that they have to suck up when they issue a recall.
And yes, I get it...this is a Camaro forum and we will take every opportunity to take a stab at the Mustang...the only REAL competition. All's fair in love and war. I just hate to see everybody get so defensive.
