go try out one of the new Pro Models, they have a better trigger in them. I polished and tuned mine, the trigger is a little bit lighter than stock, but a lot shorter and has a very short reset and very little take up.

its to jerky and just isnt smooth enough for my taste

I almost bought a springfield but heard the SIS was cut off so I got one while I could. I shot one of these a few years ago, I usually don't like green/tan frames.... but I kinda like this, not a fan of rubber grips though

That is exactly what it was.. she's got her's set up for 22's and the springs were too soft.

yeah, take one apart (especially an early one) and look at the back of the sear and the trigger bar.... isn't great from the factory, but just a few minutes of filing and polishing with a stone..... shortens it up a lot and makes it very smooth.... took me all of 10 minutes

just polishing the front of the trigger bar makes a difference, but cutting down that big hump and polishing it to a mirror finish on the back of the sear makes a world of difference. I've done it to a few other's too for them, its cheap and pretty easy to do, taking it apart is the hardest part.... just have to work slow and not take too much off at a time.
