Best DD under 10k?

What do you think is the best DD under 10k?

thinking of an 03 or 04 Audi A4

Or a BMW 330xi 03-05

Or a 03-06 Cadillac CTS

Anyone else have any ideas?

2010 Camaro SS modified extensively. I stretched the body to make it a 4 door, but I swapped in the 3.6L DI V6 for fuel economy. Then I picked up a corvette body around the V8. I also swapped the body for a C2 Z28. (In short I traded it for three cars, a Corvette Z06r, a C2 Camaro Z28, and a Cadillac CTS Summer Performance package 3.6L DI with Aisin 6spd.)

Out of those three I'd pick the cts with the bmw 2nd. I'd be weary of very high mileage though in either one. My family has had horrible experiences with Audi reliability with our former A8L, so I am bias against them, but I have friends who have loved their a4s. Have you looked at the lincoln zephyr/mkz? They're also a nice option.

i have a BMW for my DD, so this is going to be a bias. i would go with BMW, its made better than the CTS no doubt, i think it would hold up better.

A BMW or Audi below 10k is going to quickly introduce you to your local Import specialist. If you are lucky he may name his new boat after you. Acura or Lexus would be better than the Germans, but the Caddy would be easier to get serviced. Saab or Volvo will get your name on a boat and a summer cottage.

IMO, if you're looking for a >$10K DD, then I would be looking for a fuel-efficient one like a Civic or Cobalt.

I'd steer clear of a higher mileage Audi..... especially if it has a turbo.... when they go, they tend to take out a lot of stuff and cost a lot to repair.

How great can used luxury car be if its under 10k? You can get something new and far more fuel efficient for only a couple grand more....

Best daily driver for $10k .....a Honda Accord or Civic. At this price, Honda is far more reliable that those you listed and those you listed will ultimately, sooner than later, cost you big $$ in repair. Having said that, my DD the past 2 months has been my favorite, 1995 BMW M3.
