They're doing decent, I got a low grade on a lab because apparently I was about 4% off the molecular weight of an unknown substance, so thy means all my data is wrong so I only got a 50%.

But for calculating the molecular weight of something? Its just a chemical element not something engineering related. I argued there's way too many variables for me to be spot on, I'm not at ideal room temperature or pressure, and my thermometer can only read to .1 degrees and such.

You just jelly of my donuts.
lol im not even going to argue you will learn in time that EVERYTHING!!!! must be perfect in order for your calculations and including the molecular weight of every compound that you are dealing with...also how it changes, chemical reactions, how does it react to heat, cold things like......if one part of the equation fails everything fails thats the point the teacher is making and i support it your grade shouldnt be changed jmo

Asshoe. I know it needs to be perfect but I can make it perfect in my lab.

Ohio State's Chem labs are notorious for giving inaccurate measurements and results.

I had one experiment where we were supposed to dissolve aluminum in some chemical, turns out the chemical had been diluted beyond saving and everyone in the lab had to start over. Almost led to a riot.

I had to redo an experiment because the digital thermometer they gave me wasn't calibrated correctly. Not my fault, but I'm a lab behind. Everyone was a little off I'm guessing, the average is like a 65% still I'm arguing that I did everything right and got 5% off doesn't mean everything's wrong. The very last thing I calculate is the MW, up to there I did everything correctly and my data is actual data I gathered.
