The other day I stopped at the Chevron. Bought Me sum Jerkay. Jack Links....not that bullshit Oberta brand. I went out to My car. There was dis homeless dude eyeing My Shiz... He stepped to Me... I reached in my Polo, Ralph Lauren spec Cargo shorts and pulled out my Swiss Army Knife. I didntz have My Huge Multi tool one with 56 functions, just the little one, the one with the nail file...it's served Me well in the past. I dug my nail in the groove to get the blade out.... The Homeless Dude kepp steppin' so I said "do you want a piece of Jerkee.... He said yes please. So I cut that bag open, jammed My hand in there and gave Him the biggest piece I could find... Right in his FACE!

I'd call that the understatement of the century if you feel the need to walk around with all that on a daily basis.....

Unfortunately when seconds count, cops are minutes away. You have to look after yourself and yours, do not count on others!

The story seems a bit dramatic but I'm giving the OP the benefit of the doubt.

I've lived in several parts of the country and everywhere I've been, there are always feral punks running around intimidating people, acting like they own whatever store they're in, and generally daring anyone to say or do anything.

It's really a sad state of affairs. I wish we could go back to the old days when adults could knock some sense into punks like this without getting thrown in jail themselves.

Unfortunately, that isn't the case any longer so you only have two choices. Either put up with the crap and try to walk away, or do what the OP did and pull the lethal weapon card on them.

So, don't be too quick to judge the OP unless you've been in a parking lot surrounded by punks who have no respect for anyone and no fear of harassing you, and you're not sure what they may actually do to you.

Just taking my freshly waxed SS rs silver with black out... SC/ intake headers....lowered.

so i guess i draw the wrong attention....but i'm careful.

i feel the use of a Firearm in civilian life in the daytime out in the open is rarely warrented....i carry a 9mm Berreta. and a ruger p89 for my beat up gun....+ alway my little 10 shot .22

anyway these 3 wanna be's are selling wax.....seemed legit till they advanced into my personal space...saying if i could afford a Camaro( lol)
i could help them buy their Nascar product.

i always carry a boot knive double edged dagger.
a neck release knive. cs and pepper combined...( mil spec)
and a million volt miniature stun gun with projectile probes.

it old the kids your were in my face...and i'm backing up now.

i told them i'm reaching in my pockect.....and if they don't back off

something bads is about to happen.

there tuned changed.....mind you the only lethal gun i had was the .22

but everything was in those cargo /military multipocket shorts.

i was reaching for my spray oh and i had a spring loaded baton.

thye saw how serious i was....and i only back away to give me room to manuver....

it horrible in these time....even an ex veteran of a foriegn war has to go to these lenths.......i'm building a semi flame thrower.....using tourch desings and airgun airtanks to preessurise the butane.....i only get 2-3 feet but its working well... and it looks futuristic.

i had enough of death and destruction if ever in the fray with un firearmed civilians en mass....

baton,
boton stunner
tear gas and pepper spray combo.
boot dagger and a neck pull fighter knive
the .22 i'm a great shot at that istance even with a crappy .22
11 rounds.

and i do carry a handtourch put out about a 1 foot blue white stream.

makes quite a heat blast and looks like a pistol of sorts

i'm no badass.....but i was at Sunoco...and converged on the newer camaro..

no one touches my baby.....or me.....

just though i'd share...i'm i too paraniod...no

but comment as you will at 21 feet all my non's can be affective and a firearm/ thats a proven fact. if your trained.

just had to get that off my chest.

wow - sounds like you have quite the mobile armory there!

Lots of predators in our society, all with more rights than good, normal folks.

wow, just wow is all I have to say. I live in South east florida as well and carry a weapon as I have my concealed carry permit but there isn't one area around here that would warrant that kind of arsenal, maybe if you lived in Miami or something but seriously? Nothing wrong with being prepared but seems to be a little overkill to me but that's just my opinion.

Throw out the 9mm's and .22's and get a couple of 1911's. A pocket sized (yup, para-ordinance has one) and a full length single stack 1911.

Just thought I'd say that cause I'd hate having to shoot somebody twice to knock em down.

IMHO 9mm's are fun for target practice and all, but if I were to carry a handgun I'd choose a 1911 or something else chambered for .45 ACP (Like a Springfield XD)
BS. Plain and simple. No such thing as "knock down power". If it could knock the perp down, it would knock you down. Remember physics? "any action has an equal and opposite reaction" If the force coming out of the barrel would knock the bad guy down,ie;action, the force from the recoil,ie;reaction, would knock you down.

That said, I carry a .45 on duty. Not because of knockdown power, but rather permanent wound channel size. The larger diameter bullet will create a larger permanent wound channel compared to the 9mm, if penetration is equal, and neither bullet expands. That's it. Otherwise, I'd still carry my 9mm. Oh yeah, I don't give up much capacity from my .45 to my nine, 14+1 compared to 16+1.

Shot placement is king. For example.

To the OP. Hmmmmmmmm, yeah. Thanks for your military service, it is appreciated. Of that, there is no doubt. The rest of the story......
