Can we please stop with the other car forum opinion threads?

I think that is part of the nature of any forum. Avoid the stuff you don't care for.

I never understood why it bothered someone when a thread is created that they aren't interested in, especialy in the 'Off Topic' area. There are threads I never post in and CATEGORIES I never post in because I'm not interested in them. If it stays popular then someone is interested, legitemizing it. If it isn't, then it dies on it's own.

A good percentage of my posts are just having fun and aren't really constructive at all, but just meant to be silly. I would hate to have a ban on POSTS that aren't absolutely informative.

Then, next there will be smilies that offend someone. (I threw the popcorn one in there cause it's my favorite) They all have their place.

Off topic stuff is fair game I think.

"This forum is different" is what I always hear. It's the only one I've ever done. I don't have any problems. This is some fun stuff.

I don't want a bunch of fanboys from other forums running over here to 're-educate' us. Its nice to have people who are open minded and have an interest in cars besides the Camaro. I welcome them when they find us when trying to learn more about the Camaro. BUT the ones who come here because of a link in a thread on their forum, and are here solely to defend their car? Nope, don't want it.

I know what competitor fans think of the Camaro.

I do not, post those other, non-complimentary opinions because this is a Camaro fan-boy, Koolaid drinkin' site if there ever was one.


And it only hurts some peoples feelings. :(


Which also why I have stopped ragging on the Mustang, and hope we can reduce or eliminate negative, hurtful comments towards anyone, or any respectable sports car.

My main point was that there are so many of these type threads popping up that maybe we should do like the post whores thread and make one thread that anyone can post a link into about other forums opinions of the Camaro... that way we wouldn't have to wade through 10 or more of them every day...
make it a sticky....
Like I said I don't even go into them any more... I just thought it was getting a little ridiculous...

even if the mods did that, people would still post new ones... just like all the "can someone photoshop this" threads. there's a whole sub-forum for it with an official request thread & people still make new ones every day
