Mine did 13.3 stock

OP, join up on iwsti if you're interested in them. NASIOC is one of the most obnoxious, childish forums I have ever been on. If you're impressed with the handling now, go to a meet and get a ride in one with coil-overs. You'll be shocked it has 4 doors and doesn't say 911 turbo on the back.

There were never many on the road to begin with. Subaru only sells about 4,000-6,000 STi's each year, comparable to Shelby gt500 sales. Resale value is pretty good. 2004s with low mileage (<60,000) are still selling for about $20k, but the 04-06 model years are the most sought after by enthusiasts for a few reasons.

Mine was not Stock!, CAI, 3" non cat exhaust,, Larger iner-cooler, larger injectors, underdrive pullys, street-port on housings, Pettit-Racing Computer. 3mm-Apex seals. Giant Alum Radiator, for extra cooling, Rotarys produce heat like Atomic Reactors. My 2ss/rs vert is as good looking, as the "7" , more comfortable to drive, almost as fast, but a 4200 lb car just can't handle and be as tossable as a 2700 lb car. The Wife and I really like the Camaro a lot, but I Loved the 3rd Gen RX-7, and yes I know! it was a Rice burner.

Cool car. your money. Do with it as you please. I don't think anyone on here would say its a slow car. Maybe not as cool looking, but definitely one hell of a drivers car

LOL, you better check yourself on that dude, the interior is superior to our cars and to be quite honest, will out last our car as well. We wont bring up the fact that they are fast as shit and hold value like crazy....

Im a member on IWSTI.com as well, great forum.... I have been tossing and turning for a couple weeks now about possibly jumping BACK into an STI.... My heavily modded 06' was bar far the funnest car ive owned to date.... Ive had 10 second muscle cars, my modded SS, blown 03 Cobra etc, the STI is still the funnest....

I am a STi fan, but I don't know that the STi is a better car than a 5th Gen. It all depends on your definition of what a 'better' car would be. A Lotus Elise is a better car than and STi in terms of handling (IMO), but would I want it as my daily driver? 600HP LPE is running SCCA Solo in his Camaro and beating some very good drivers in very well prepared STis.

Make no mistake the STi is a very good car, but don't underestimate the 5th Gen.

I test drove a 09 STI and a 09 WRX and with my buddy and I recommended the WRX because it was $10,000 cheaper and felt faster and come to find out it is faster due to 1 less shift to hit 60 and the 1/4.

I told him if you plan on modding the WRX is a really bad idea due to their weak ass 5 speed transmissions and a few other things vs the STI bullet proof 6 speed which is still happy at 600whp. STI's are the only way to go if you plan on modding since modding a WRX can exceed the price of a modded STI real quick.

He decided on a Black 09 WRX base + short throw shifter for $25,400 and has left the engine and suspension stock. The only thing he has added has been Rally Armour mud flaps, Husky Liner floor mats, Hella Supertones, window tint, TWM weighted shift knob, and 05 WRX alloys with green diamond ice tires for the winter. Its the ultimate Northern Calfornia snow boarding mobile and still has a full factory warranty. He also runs 13.3's@102 all day on his summer tires.

Subaru makes some neat cars...but since they are owned 20% by Toyota, I would not touch them with YOUR 10-foot pole.
