Some Guy Built a Bugatti Clone

Saw this story and it's a work of art. Granted it won't move as fast but would look good in a garage.

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/technolo...211223675.html

and it's for sale at $89,000

Haha yeah. I have no idea how to make a cougar go faster at all. But it'd be cool to have and not spend $1.5 million on to have someone scratch it or hit it.

Good enough to pick up some gold diggers. Might have to rent a nice house for a few nights though.

That was my first thought too.

And in response to Aequitas & Veritas: The only way to make a 2002 Cougar go faster is to drop it out of an airplane.

I'm sure you could change everything about it and transplant something into it. Something has to be able to fit it. I just like it for the looks

A Cougar is as fast as the tow truck it is hooked to.

Man builds a Bugatti Veyron look alike

Nice looking replica but not worth the 89,000 he is asking for it. End of the day its just a very good looking Mercury Cougar.

In the end, that's about as tasteful as slapping Ferrari badges on a Honda Civic.

After all that work, the performance ought to match the vehicle it emulates. It could be done and still cost less than the genuine article.
