Sorry about the parting. I bet she was a true part of your family. My dad has 2 sharpeis and they're absolutely great.

At least she did get one ride in the camaro. Just focus on the good memories, not the sad ones. =)

I have 9 total and I dread the day I have to part with any of them. There is one in particular that I am so attached to that I can not think about the day I have to part with him. I've been through it before though, and even though it's no fun, it would be a real shame if you didn't share that type of bond with another one. Take your time and another will come along. When that day comes just follow your heart and I think, no I don't think, I know, you won't regret it.

I am sorry for your loss.

As woodj says, don't deny a needful soul when you are ready. Your compassion for man kinds best friend is one of your special qualities. You will never forget the many memories shared with Jasmine, but a lost k-9 soul out there is just begging for your NEW compassion. You & he/she will know when you have that one of a kind bond. Give it time & best of luck.

I'm sitting here with tears running down my face, crying for your loss, and remembering the loving "four legged family members" I've lost over the years. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, but know that Jasmine loves you still, and always will.

Some day, somewhere, some dog will look you in the eye, and you'll fall madly in love again, as hard as that is to believe right now...you have a big heart, and hopefully, that time will come. Jasmine would approve.

Sorry to hear. It's never easy loosing a buddy like that. I've got 2 German Shepherds (10 and 6) and I absolutely dread the day when we'll loose another one. -we lost one when he was 6 months old to a brain tumor :( - Initially, my wife said she didn't want another one, but it only took a month of missing the little guy to realize that the only cure (for us) was another one to love- not "replace" the lost one, but another.

It's been nearly 12 years since we had to have our spaniel put down. I haven't wanted to get another dog until recently. I feel your pain and just know time does help. Cherish the memories and hopefully one day you'll be able to let another "best friend" into your life.
