Berean, I am the blacksheep, always was (sounds like you too) so why not express yourself, no one in my family has one drop of ink, the wife and my two kids do not either, I am the lone nut.......but if you see my Linked profile you realize I can cover it all up for a formal occassion and look pretty good in a suit and tie.

and I like to hear a persons reason for getting a piece, so many times it is impossible to tell by looking at a piece what was intended (just as song lyrics and art are so subjective, Robert Plant refused to even say a word about Zeppelins lyrics, he said the message is whatever the words brought to your mind).....so if you think about it, tell us why,

None of these gals' tats comes close to the tats on my mother (she'll be 90 years old in September) that she got after gettin' drunk and high when partyin' out with a motorcycle gang for a couple of weeks in 1967, or 1968. Anyhow, my father never got over how she looked afterwards, neither. My friends from high school always laughed at her, too.

You're welcome to visit her and see for yourself. She is in the 24hour care unit at The Towers in Oakland, CA. She has a brain tumor that has rendered her incapable of understanding anything more complicated than her own name, and even that is problematic much of the time. She can't walk, stand up, nor even live outside of diapers. Of course, none of this has anything to do the slovenly life style of her earlier years.

She never was a pleasant woman. In fact, if there was any effect from the tats on her demeanor at all, I'd have to say it was for the better. Course, like I said, she's always been hard to deal with. For myself and my sister, we tried to stay outa' her way as much as we could. We were happiest when she wasn't around.

By the way, my 54 year old sister has a whole buncha' tats. After that point, though, her similarities with la bruja end. Tats or no tats, Sis would always be okay in my book.
