Cruze: Best Selling Car in America (June 2011)
usatoday.com
(via autoblog) Best selling car at nearly 25k units last month, with the Malibu trailing by about 1000. It wasn't the best selling Chevy though ... that belongs to the Silverado at 32.5k. Overall, those 3 were the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th best selling vehicles in the US for June, with the Ford F-series taking the top spot (as usual)

2nd month in a row Cruze and Malibu have lead their segments in sales.

Wow. That's really, really impressive!!
I'm a little shocked at how well the Cruze has taken off in sales. That's awesome. |

I am surprised by how much momentum the malibu has gathered this late in its life cycle. The 2013 malibu hopefully will be a runaway success for GM.

Aren't we missing something? Like unhindered Toyota and Honda production.

![]() Not that I generally wish misfortune on anyone, but this is the perfect opportunity to re-introduce America to Chevrolet. Hopefully the momentum during this period will carry on into the future with their continually improving products. |

And I still say that they are exaggerating about their production woes, look at Nissan there doing just fine. It's funny how that now, that the heat has been turned up a notch, Toyota says that the will be back at full capacity in no time, much sooner then they originally predicted of next year. Coincidence?? I don't think so.

Honestly, the 2012 Camry doesn't look like much of a threat. The dealer reveal video made it look like nothing more than a stretched Corolla, which is already a terrible design.

I'm considering getting a Cruze for the family car. Extremely good gas mileage, priced right and looks pretty good.

That argument is getting a little sketchy after Nissan had a gain of over 10% while Honda & Toyota were both down 20%. And while they're relatively minor players, Suzuki and Mazda did post modest gains and Mitsubishi nearly doubled their sales this past June over last year. Not saying it had no effect but if the rest of the Japanesse automakers don't seem to be hurting too much from it, why would Honda and Toyota be so different?

Good point but I was under the impression those two had cut back production. Maybe it's not all on the level as truth411 is suggesting. |

I'm not a huge fan of the exterior design. But then again. I bought a Camaro. Nothing in the price range really compares. The cruze is a very practical sedan.

IMHO, look at your Toyota dealer, ours is completely stocked with Camrys and the Honda dealer has about 10 12 Civic Sedans on the lot, they are just being hard to move. The Cruze on the other hand, simply flies off the lot, they can't keep them in stock.
