But if the media hadn't been covering this case, you wouldn't have an opinion on her since you'd have no clue who Casey Anthony is. She's a nobody from Florida. Her life deserves no more media attention than yours or mine.

I don't care if she killed her kid or not. If she did, she's a horrible person for doing it. If she didn't, she's a horrible person for the way she acted. But either way ... I shouldn't even know about it. It wasn't my daughter, or my niece. She doesn't babysit for me (and even if I had kids, she still wouldn't). She doesn't teach at a local school, or work at a local daycare. There is no connection between her and me, or kids in my area. What she did (or didn't do) has no impact on my life, or the life of any of my friends or family. So I really don't see why I should take an interest in the verdict from her trial.
