Yep, if ya' include the sandy shoals of Lytle Creek north of Fontana, CA. The fireworks there will also be of the furtive variety. Perhaps, we'll just watch the hijinks of the neighborhood and hopefully chill out any drunken fighting that may happen as it did here a few years back. Squabbles are bound to erupt, yeah. It's just when the blades come out and the red stuff begins to flow that it becomes less than savory, especially for the kids whom the parents (those wielding the shanks) oblige to remain present. It ain't out of some kinda' perversity that the kids are there, it's that the parents can't afford childcare during their extra-legal exercises.

The person below me lives in a rural area without the same sort of "excitements".

I know what it is, but we don't watch commercial TV.

The person below me enjoys goin' out to local minor league sporting events; AA baseball is a favorite of his/hers.

Yes and no. I live in a rural area but the "big" city of Springfield, TN has it's own pretty good fireworks display. Then if I want a really good one I can take the short drive to downtown Nashville or Ft Campbell, Ky. Either one is first rate!

The person below is content to avoid the crowds & enjoy a quiet evening at home?

False, we are having a big party at a friends cliff hanger house with lake view and watching them from there.

The person below me prefers power under the hood over interior options on a car.

Nah, if I did, I wouldn't be able to hear the resplendent tones of my drunken neighbors brawling in the evening vapors of BBQ.

The person below me is enjoying the redolent scents of fine Independence Day fare.
