"auricle"
"Au" is a prefix that pertains to gold; the cle suffix has got meanings that say something was "made from".
Could we say therefore that it means something made from gold?

If I passed the audition, may I now propose a new word?

"Goose"

While I was composin' my response, y'all had already moved on to your next quizzer. The "physillium" sounds like it oughta' have to do with living tissue again, but I think we gotta' pause here.

Man, you pick some HELLA difficult words that require esoteric knowledge beyond the scope of the layman. The idea behind this game was to choose words that were unusual, but within grasp of everyday folk. We don't want to spoil the game with words only specialists would know. I know you weren't tryin' to be inscrutable; it just slid over 'dat way.

Bro, would ya' please choose a word which dummies like me might have a chance of figurin' out.

Oh, I see we are back on "auricle". I thought midnighter had already got that one.
Well, well, well. None of my inferences from tag #284 stand up, at all. Is that what you're sayin'?

Might I hazard a guess, like a shot in da' dark? "Auricle" is an icicle of frozen piss.
If I'm wrong, just the nerve of my proposal deserves SOME credit, does it not?

Now, if ya' mean mollusc, I say its an invertebrate creature that may or may not have an shell, like a snail or a sea slug.

Pseudo means seemingly yet not truly, and mature, well, means grown up. So I'd say seeming to appear or behave beyond one's years.

Alright, time's up. This quote meant to be preoccupied with death.

Camshaft - a cylindrical rod with concentric, yet oblong, lobes arranged along the shaft. Designed to activate valve stems or similar mechanical linkage of an archetypical internal combustion engine in a specific order, this is accomplished by the lobe protrusion outside the diameter of the main shaft directly contacting the valve stem, or other mechanical interface which is connected to the valve stem. Compressing the valve spring as the shaft rotates, the height of the lobe protrusions will be directly proportional to the distance a valve opens. The curvature of the lobe and the speed of the camshaft will determine how long the valve is "open". Being a static part with no moving parts internal to the camshaft, it can easily be strengthened and is a common part to replace when a different behavior of the valves is desired for performance or efficiency purposes.

New word: "Pusillanimous"
