I can't even look at this thread. It hurts my brain to think there are people in this world who think that Star Trek is better than Star Wars.

Then head back over to the kiddie section where you belong, lightweight.

Any universe that gave us Ewoks (instead of wookies, like they should have been) and Jar Jar Binks is fatally flawed...

I liked the Ewoks. They're the only people in the Star Wars movies who apply any intelligence to murder. Everyone else just lines up and shoots...but they...they beat people to death with rocks and make drums out of the heads of their enemies.

There is, however, no sex in the Star Wars universe, save that once. Thumbs down there.

In VERY broad generalities. The Star Wars stories were written for what is called by authors and the publishing industry, be it in print or in the visual media, the Young Adult audience.
The Star Trek stories were written for young people to enjoy, but with a targeted audience having a larger vocabulary and literary maturity.

You do know that Ewoks were never supposed to have existed. The planet moon was SUPPOSED to be a Wookie planet, but they made "cute ewoks" for marketing purposes.

Look...I like Star Wars. A LOT. Some of the greatest movies ever...at least the first three...and that's mainly due to Empire. But, as a universe, Star Trek has always been more complete and cool.

Beautiful women in the Star Trek universe - Princess Leah. Princess Amidala and her retainers. err...I can't think of any more.

Beautiful Star Trek women? Pretty much every episode and all over the place.

Basically Star Wars is for sadistic monks who never want to have sex.

Yep. But I still liked them, for the reasons I already stated. They were vicious, cannibalistic little killers. And you might seen vicious cannibalistic little killers in other sci-fi portrayed as good guys, but not in Star Wars.

To me, they are a pleasant aberration for that.

Totally true. Goes back to the source material, really...Star Trek was Horatio Hornblower in space with a touch of The Lost World and Wagon Train with some '60's values thrown in. Star Wars was a modern-day Saturday afternoon serial.

I'm wondering how many SECONDS Kirk and Spock last against these two guys. I'm thinking one deflected phaser blast and then decapatation.

It would be illogical to engage in melee combat with two obviously skilled swordsmen with laser swords. Orbital bombardment would therefore be the obvious choice.

Another point in Trek's favor: Fewer emo whiners like Anakin.
