The other day I was having trouble with my 'maro and some Prius-driving eco-land-whale pulled up and asked if I needed any help or anything, then actually had the audacity to tell me that "you wouldn't have this problem if you drove a Toyota." I almost got into the car and backed up over her damned Prius, but instead just stared at her and told her that I'd rather have a bit of knocking that I pulled over to investigate than pole-vaulting over traffic when my driveshaft separates.

My family used to be big into toyota. We've had 3 4Runners and an FJ Cruiser, all subjected to harsh Mountain Roads 24/7, and none of them ever had a problem. The most any of those cars were ever in the shop for was a new alignment on a car we regularly took off roading.

However, that doesn't excuse this type of buisness. Not to draw a connection, but does anyone see a common theme here with Nissan and Toyota?

Im sure they would have connected the dots already if it was BMW and Merc.... or Ford and GM...

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

Sure, until your tailgate cracks while attempting to load stuff into the bed.

okyankee your name wouldnt be trevor would it? sorry for ot

back on track. i was talkin to a friend in class about if he should get an avalanche or tundra. he said the only thing that was stopping him from getting the avalanche was gm going under. i assured him that the gov't wouldnt let that happen and pointed out that toyota wasnt in much better shape. some "boring a-b car driver" turns around and starts raving about toyota, i just told my friend to ignore him because this is the same kid that said the engine wasnt included in the powertrain warranty by gm.
