I'm lying that my camaro beat the mustang consistently over and over again by a slim margain....like i said i should have taken my mustang.....ive got a ton to lie about...lol

trust me i know my camaro isnt fast that hasn't been my argument here...and all the independent tests in magazines dont mean shit.... i raced professional motocross/supercross and used to laugh when people would pick up a new magazine that had all the shootouts in them and run out to buy the all new "blah" never meant a thing, the tests were extremely pointless and continue to be. I know because i was the guy in several issues doing the testing, (being that rider). You cant compare yourself to me on a motorcycle or expect to ride one like me. So when you see these independent tests done by their drivers think again.....Lets face it i would love to drive like Ken Block but......

POINT - I am not a good driver, when faced with SEVERAL racing experiences at BOTH tracks, ive seen the camaros beat the mustang repeatedly.... Ok well i should say more so that the mustang beating the camaro....In each case its never by more than a fender or half car etc....

I got my 1SS for 31K so it is very possible to get a 2SS for 33K. The OP pointed out all the things that the SS has STANDARD vs the GT. In fact the 38K Mustang STILL doesn't have the the standard features the 1SS or even the LS have.

Nobody can deny that the Camaro SS is a great value. Heck GM also has the Corvette in it's back pocket...which is arguably the best performance bargain on the planet. I just don't get when guys have to trash talk things just because they personally don't like them. I find it very childish. I think we are very fortunate to have choices like the Camaro, Challenger and Mustang....they're all pretty good cars and each has it's own strengths and weaknesses. I respect each car for what they are and enjoy seeing the passion people have for these cars. I find that out in the real world most "car guys" at the track or local car hang out get along quite nicely and don't bag on another guys ride, no matter what it is that they drive.

So I searched the thread you were referring to and I see talked about times but no timeslips for your runs posted as you suggested:

Density altitude has a serious affect on how well a naturally aspirated car will run. For example, running the 1/4 mile at Denver will result in about 1 second difference (slower) in 1/4 mile times vs. Houston due to the thinner air. The higher the D/A, the worse the quality of air. I brought that up becuase Sac. Raceway typically has much better air year round vs. the track I run at meaning those Mustangs should be putting down much better times, if they are modded, vs. my stock time with worse air. If your story is gospel then something is seriously wrong which I highly doubt.

I am interested in your timeslips so I can look-up the D/A at your track for that day/time and to see what the Mustangs lined up next to you look like for 60', 1/8th, 1/4 ET and MPH.

It doesn't add up period.

i haven't seen that yet they either have a built engine with my mods or are spraying you just talking from youtube videos that aren't personal experiences i have raced a mustang with my same mods but just with drag radials and he ran 11.15 @ 127 so ''whats your point""

What does motocross have to do with a thread about cars? I spent my time racing motocross growing up back in the 80's. I would never pretend to be able to beat anyone in this day and age. I am too old and rusty.

He wants to compare, lets level the field by comparing similar builds on each car. Make sense?

I thought this thread was about the features in the Camaro compared to the Mustang. How did this turn into a racing thread? All the Mustang fanboys, not all just a few annoying ones, have to invade every thread and defend the Mustang and act like its a car from the heavens lol. Glad I am not a Mustang owner anymore, most of the ones I encounter are douchey and "too cool" anyways.
