Dang....when I was in high school they were telling us that the next Ice Age was coming in 20-50 years and we were all going to freeze to death and starve due to crops frozen. Kind of funny how we as humans, who have only been on this earth a minutia fraction of its existance and not knowing hardley anything about it's pastcycles can claim/predict all this looking at say 100 years of the climate vs the hundreds of millions of years it has been changing.....

Dude we are all about to die....like for real

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-12530439

Coral reefs really are dying and the ocean isnt going to absorb any CO2 anymore. The global temperature increase these last 50 years is inversely proportionate to the decline of coral reefs around the world.

3/4 of a degree is the average amount of global temperature increase in the last 50 years and 3/4s of the oceans coral reefs have been dying in the last 50 years.

"In water with today's levels of CO2, the fish spent three-quarters of the time at the opposite end of the tube from the loudspeaker." Because its 75% hotter than normal. It will get 25 % hotter on Earth.

Once they are all gone even MORE CO2 will not be filtered out from this planets oceans causing a dramatic increase in global avg temperature.

Lmao global warming is real and dependent on how much we kill our coral reefs.

Well then, I hope ya like Soylent Green.

It's not called Global warming any more, they have changed it to Global Climate Change.
Can anyone prove it's not a natural occurance? Do you think Man is completely responsible? Didn't many of the Prophets and the Bible predict many of the weather changes among other natural disasters we are seeing today? how did they know 2,000 years ago about the pollutants we are supposably causing global warming? Have we caused all the earthquakes, and Volcanos too? What caused the bad weather occurances that have always happened? Get real people, we didn't do this and nothing we can do will stop it no matter if we shut every polution causing item down today and went back to cave man type living. I say Get over it and get on with your life.

P.S. by the way a giant Meteor is going to hit earth and destroy us all before the gobal climate change does it...

Lmao but yo, what if its true? Like our lives LITERALLY are completely dependent on the survival of coral reefs as they absorb enough CO2 to keep us from burning to death.

Am I the only one who would see the comedy in that?

“The findings are shocking,' Dr. Alex Rogers, IPSO's scientific director, said in a statement released by the group. 'This is a very serious situation demanding unequivocal action at every level. We are looking at consequences for humankind that will impact in our lifetime, and worse, our children's and generations beyond that.

IMO, this guy is no different than the May 21st preacher dude predicting the Rapture. Like him, this scientist will just revise his predictions as the data shows him wrong, and even better, he's got "our lifetime" to do it. When he's proven wrong, it's not like we can dig him out of his grave and tell him he's an idiot.

The fact that he used the word "shocking" and is advocating "zero emissions in 20 years" means he's a PR/political guy and not a scientist interested in reporting facts.

Here's hoping he goes the way of the May 21st preacher dude. Laughed into obscurity.

We all realize that this global warming is wrecking hella stuff, including da' oceans' vitality, and the future of their coral reefs is slippin' out of the reach of restitution.

The original poster (the OP) is deservedly indignant about all this jive, me too. It's just that we all make jokes, often dark ones, in order to keep our sense of humor in such hella tryin' times. All da' shit that we're facing now, and the worse shit we're gonna' hafta' endure in the near future, makes us sad. It's only gonna' get worse; we all know that, don't we?

So smile, enjoy, and make hay while da' sun shines, my friends. It's gonna' be messy.

Thanks for the heads up. Man people don't understand the danger of green house gasses! I really glad you brought it to all our attention! I say we all get in our camaros and burn rubber to our local government offices to voice our opinions. I will probably have to stop and fill my tank up atleast once though, with premium gasoline that was ripped and sucked out of our mother earth and refined in "Eco-friendly" factories!
