Seriously! I'd chop off my arm to have that in my driveway. *drools*

Here! Here! I've been saying that same thing (not just about the vette, but also the viper itself. Let's be honest, all american cars look (like a foreign car) now, but to me at least the sports cars should not look like that).

For reference, the Camaro shouldn't be looking more stylish than the Vette, but (the show car) does now.

At some point, more power = smoke.

The reality that GM must be running into is that they can continue to add more power, but they have no chance of getting it to the ground.

I admit, AWD _would_ make a faster car... there's no doubt that advanced AWD cars can be a lot faster.

But I agree, keep in RWD and just keep making in lighter... that's more the spirit of Corvette.

Dual Clutch Transmission. It's an automated Manual gearbox more or less. And it's quick as hell! I always had my reservations, whether or not GM would develop their own...apparently they are

Ah, so expect a dual clutch transmission in a rear wheel drive next generation corvette around 2012? Makes sense

more than likely. Also, here's a link to the latest Winding road magazine:
http://magazine.windingroad.com/wind...ingroad.com%2F
hopefully, it's on page 123. if not, navigate there. Because the heads of the Corvette program, and racing give a few nods of the direction the C7 Vette will be taking.

DCT is dual clutch transmission. basically there are 2 clutches, one that selects 1st 3rd and 5th and the other selects 2nd 4th and 6th. When u are in first gear the first clutch is engaged and the second clutch pre selects 2nd gear, when u tap the gear up lever/paddle/shifter/ w/e the first clutch disengages and the 2nd clutch engages. you are now in 2nd gear, meanwhile the 1st clutch preselects 3rd gear to when you tap up again it puts you in third gear, and so on and so on. I believe this system will also do automatic downshifts when you are in too high a gear, ie in 4th gear and you slam on the brakes it will bring you down to 3rd or 2nd automatically. all upshifts are up to you.

I hope it will. The Vette has always been the Pioneer of all GM things performance. NOT complaining
