Haha, I do think about it, but I'm a native. I don't know how long I can survive without the ocean! I live about a mile away and I work even closer! I grew up at the beach and I still hang out there at least four times a week. Even more now that summer's coming.

I got a job over in texas a few years back. the houses out there are amazing, and cheap. should have taken the job, but opted for las vegas instead...

ocean next to florida (gulf coast) is far better than the california ocean. My goal is to find a job close to tampa. hopefully within the next year or 2.

Yeah some of the houses we have been looking at have been plain gorgeous. I just want a two car garage and to be in the country, Skip is being kitchen picky.

Haha no. I hear the Woodlands is becoming a tourist place now which is weird cause there's only shopping. And it's 25 minutes away

Hahaha, that's totally true! The surf is best here when a hurricane hits Hawaii or Mexico.

I've been looking around here and deals can be had in the 300k range.
Normally a "cheap" house is around $300-350k here. We got ours for $250k and I didn't think the sale would ever go through since the bank had to approve our offer. They took their sweet time doing it too.

That's highway robbery for Texas.

Good choice although both places are hotter than Hades.

We have been finding some nice foreclosures like 5 bedrooms for 80k. Most houses in the woodlands are like 120-250k and then in the nice neighborhoods up to 5mil. But the ranch neighborhoods in cut n shoot are so nice like woodlands nice and dirt cheap.

I love the beaches here for their scenic quality, but I like the beaches back home in SC better. You can actually get in the water without having to wear a wetsuit.
