Apparently old Joe (as some folks called him) was hard of hearing, and when told his job was to duck behind the barrel…. well, he thought they said something else. Annnnyway. The Grand PooBah, errr … I mean city official also thought the road was a good idea, and called his cousin the Engineer. Now, anyone that knows an Engineer knows they are a precise and exacting bunch. So, they got exactly what they asked for… a road around there. Word has it that fortunately no Snipes were harmed during the making of the road.
